The Project:

This project was a new approach to reducing the number and severity of deaths and serious crashes on the state highway network in New Zealand. It took a corridor approach to evaluating risk rather than addressing isolated crash spots. The SNP will deliver median and roadside barriers, markings and signs, rural roundabouts and speed reviews across New Zealand, over ten years, from 2019-2029.
