The Challenge:

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency was tasked with developing a national framework to assist all Road Controlling Authorities (RCAs) to make informed, accurate and consistent speed management decisions in their communities as part of their commitment to help deliver Road to Zero Speed and Infrastructure Programme, the then government’s road safety strategy for 2020-2030, which aimed to reduce deaths and serious injuries on our roads by 40 percent over the subsequent 10 years. To achieve this, reviews of current management practices were needed.

The Outcome:

Speed management reviews of a large sample of state highways across the network were undertaken.

Our Involvement:

Resolve Group lead the development of a procurement strategy, and the procurement processes, including facilitation of establishment workshops. We also provided contract management and commercial support to ensure panel delivery processes were adhered to.
