Manager of Transportation Operations for Dunedin City Council, Graeme Hamilton, outlines the council’s new approach to contract renewal practices in an article in the March 2013 issue of New Zealand Local Government Magazine titled, Fusion Contracts – The New Way.

In it, he says, “Staff support and assistance in assessing applicable alternative approaches in use elsewhere and in packaging the resulting contracts was provided by the widely experienced Resolve Group.”

Resolve Group recently assisted Environment Canterbury in tendering out their Laboratory Services following a review of their in-house laboratory practices. The review identified that significant potential savings could be obtained using an external service provider for water quality and other laboratory analysis.

After tender documents were drawn up, tenders were invited, and a contract was awarded to Hills Laboratories, achieving considerable cost savings for Environment Canterbury.
