The Government has decided to keep Auckland at Alert Level 3 (AL3) from 11:59pm Tuesday 5th October. There will be no change to the way we work and the office in Auckland will remain closed. But please remember, it is by following the AL3 rules that we stay safe and stay on track to eradicate Covid 19 and thereby return to an effective working environment.
Under AL3, construction sites are able to re-open, but it is important to note that this is contingent on meeting the AL3 protocols, which you can find at the Construction Health and Safety NZ (CHASNZ) website. Please also note that:
- Each project is required to have a specific Covid-19 plan to work safely at different alert levels, which aligns with strict industry standards provided by CHASNZ.
- The plan for each project must be accepted by the clients before the project can resume.
- Travel across the AL3/AL2 boundary is not permitted unless a government issued exemption had been attained (check the CHASNZ website for more travel advice between regions).
Keep yourself safe – wear a mask, wash hands regularly, use the Covid 19 app and get the vaccine. The sooner we raise the vaccination levels, the sooner life can be more stable. Thank you, everyone, for helping us get through this, kia kaha, kia maia, kia manawanui, Martin.
