• Old Kopu Bridge Heritage Assessment
  • Completed in 1928, original Kopu Bridge, which spans Waihou River south of Thames, is the sole remaining example of a swing span bridge in New Zealand.
  • Registered by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust as a Category 1 historic place (Register no. 4681) and added to the IPENZ Engineering Heritage Register (Engineering Heritage No. 151) on 24 April 2012
  • As a part of a heritage evaluation process, Resolve Group was engaged by NZTA to develop a heritage assessment matrix for the old Kopu Bridge that could later be applied to other historically significant bridges
