A recent graduate from Unitec with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Technology, Samantha is seconded to the Auckland Motorway Alliance as a Network Controls Engineer. In this role, she considers requests from third parties (utility operators, adjacent land owners and government organisations) who wish to undertake maintenance works or new installations within the motorway and state highway corridors.
She has gained useful practical experience on-site with the Well-Connected Alliance on the Waterview Connection Tunnels and Shared Pathway projects where she maintained the risk database (Active Risk Manager), managed the OFI system for LEAN and tracked the implementation of opportunities, undertook and supported 5S Site Quality Audits (for LEAN), assisted the Health and Safety team with site safety inspections, organised competency trainings for site engineers, foremen and leading hands, and provided support for the Construction Manager, Superintendents and Engineers.
Samantha has demonstrated leadership capability at school and won many awards both at school and university. She is reliable, hard-working and positive, has good organisational and communication skills, pays attention to detail, and has a passion for the roading industry.
When she’s not at work, Samantha likes to spend time with friends and family, travel and is always seeking to try new experiences.
